The Legislative Reference Library is located on the second floor, north wing, of the State Capitol Building in Austin, Texas:
Between legislative sessions, the library is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
When the legislature is meeting in regular session, the library is open from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Friday, with extended hours if either legislative chamber is convened.
When the legislature is meeting in special session, the library is open from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Friday, with extended hours if either legislative chamber is convened.
The library is closed on most major holidays, except when the legislature is meeting.
Free public wireless Internet access is available in the Capitol Complex. Please consult the following instructions to connect to the wireless network while in the Capitol.

Please note that access to the circular drive directly around the State Capitol Building is restricted. However, parking is available in the visitors parking garage located at 1201 San Jacinto Boulevard, between 12th and 13th Streets and Trinity Street and San Jacinto Boulevard (see Parking map above). As of September 1, 2010, the visitors parking garage is free for the first two hours and $1.00 for each half hour thereafter (maximum daily charge of $8.00). Rates are subject to change during special events on weekends.
In addition, metered spaces are available around the complex.
