- Biographical sketch, George Thomas Wood, second Governor of Texas, pp. 193-194. After coming to Texas in 1839, settled in Liberty County, near Point Blank, and opened a plantation. Buried in "what is now" Robinson Cemetery, near Point Blank; State of Texas erected a monument at his grave in 1911. Biographical Directory of the Texan Conventions and Congresses, 1832-1845, 1942.
