"At the recent State election Mr. Brady was elected as a member of the Thirty-sixth Legislature from Travis County and now he will have to resign this office and the Governor will call a special election to fill the vacancy." (2) 36th Legislature - In District No. 89, E.R. Pedigo was elected on 21st day of December 1918 to fill Place 2, made vacant by the resignation of John W. Brady, who was appointed to the Court of Civil Appeals of the Third Supreme Judicial District, p.5. House Journal.
