Biographical sketch, 85th Legislature: "Upon graduation Pat received an Officer's commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and served as an active duty officer for four years. During his service, he earned the Air Force Achievement Medal and was cited on numerous occasions by superiors and flag officers for outstanding achievement.
