Daugherty, p. 352: "The second brother, T.W., was a member of the Texas Legislature, and left the legislative halls and raised a company in the 29th Texas Cavalry, under Colonel Demorse, and remained in command of his company until the end of the war, when he marched it home and there disbanded it. He now lives at Abilene, Texas, and is one of the most prominent attorneys at law of that place."
