Signed copies of bills

After the governor signs a bill or concurrent resolution, it is sent to the Statutory Documents Division of the Secretary of State's office, where it is considered "filed" once the Secretary of State signs it. Joint resolutions are not sent to the governor for signing and are filed directly with the Secretary of State. The Secretary of State does not receive simple resolutions.

81st Legislative Session

Copies of signed bills from the 81st Legislature are available through the Texas State Archives. Please call (512) 463-5480.

78th - 80th Legislative Sessions

Images of signed bills and resolutions passed during the 78th (2005) - 80th (2007) Legislative sessions are available from the University of North Texas, Texas Laws and Resolutions Archive.

Prior to the 78th Legislative Session
