• Study House rules in other states with specific emphasis on rules concerning decorum, location of the press, use of recording and television devices and the voting system. Also investigate the physical setting of the Houses in other states, including the location of and access to the Speaker's podium.
• Carry out other special assignments as directed by the Speaker of the House throughout the interim.
• Study the need for a curator to maintain the capitol building.
