Appointed by Speaker 11/12/1849, pursuant to resolution by Stapp for committee to draft resolution to Congress relative to additional new post routes in this State; Whittlesey added 11/24/1849; resolution adopted 11/26/1849 that "committee on Mail Post Routes" should request Congress establish a four horse U.S. mail-coach line; Stapp listed as Chairman of select committee on report, 1/2/1850 (House Journal, 3rd R.S., pp. 114, 177, 414-415).
Burney added 8/14/1850; Stapp, Bryan, Tarrant, Burney, and Cochran appointed to select committee of five, 8/15/1850 (House Journal, 3rd Leg., 1st C.S., pp. 22, 25).
