- Conduct public hearings and give intense study to the dangers involved in the availability and use of marijuana by Texas high school and college-age youth, and extend the investigation to the chemical properties of the drug and its harmful physical and psychological effects, if any.
- Conduct a thorough study and investigation of the narcotics traffic and crime in this state. The committee shall particularly study and investigate the narcotics traffic as it affects youth of school and college age.
