Committee Members

  • Make a thorough study of the rules of the Texas House of Representatives, directing particular attention to the Rules of Order and Decorum in the House when the Legislature is in session and when House committees and subcommittees are holding meetings and hearings, and that the committee also look into and review rules of conduct for state officials appearing before the House of Representatives, its committees, and subcommittees.
  • The committee shall also investigate existing procedures for punishment of violators of the House Rules, looking to the feasibility of establishing clear-cut guidelines setting forth punishment for specific offenses.

Appointed by Speaker 12/18/1969, pursuant to HSR 56, 61st 2nd C.S.
