- Visit and examine the "Alamo" building, where the heroes of Texas fell, and confer with the owner therof, and learn upon what terms the same can be purchased. Also, to visit Goliad, and the graves of Fannin's men and see what is necessary there to preserve such cemetary in a manner that it will not be a disgrace to Texas, but an honor. Visit the grave of Ben Milam, in the city of San Antonio, and report its condition, with such recommendations as they may deem necessary to protect it from being trodden under foot.
