Charges

Conduct an investigation into the affairs of the Highway Department of this State... and the admistration thereof.

Investigate each and every act of the three Highway Commissioners of the Highway Department... for the past three years.

Investigate all matters pertaining to said offices as may in the judgment of said committee be necessary and proper for the promotion of public welfare.
