1.	Prepare a formal study of gubernatorial appointments currently authorized by statute. The analysis should include the following elements: a synopsis of each agency containing one or more gubernatorial appointees; a breakdown of appointees by sex, ethnicity, and geographical area of residence with separate figures for newly appointed and reappointed officials; and an itemization of the appointive positions that come vacant during the period covering June 1, 1989 to June 1, 1995.
