HB 8 Caption: Relating to constituting a local law for the further maintenance of public highways, by authorizing the Commissioners' Court of Dallas County to expend proceeds of bonds heretofore and hereafter voted by Road District No. 1 of Dallas County for the purpose of providing for drainage of state highway rights of way and adjacent lands where such drainage is made necessary by the construction, widening or improvement of such highways.

HB 22 Caption: Relating to amending the Election Code of Texas relating to assessments against candidates for State Senator or State Representative in primary elections.
HB 378 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Game and Fish Commission to manage wildlife and/or fish on wildlife management areas along sound biological lines; making certain acts unlawful except as permitted by the Commission and prescribing the penalty for violation.
HB 471 Caption: Relating to providing that in each county in this State having a population of six hundred thousand (600,000) inhabitants or more according to the last preceding Federal Census the Commissioners Court may furnish the constables and/or deputy constables thereof two-way radios to be used in connection with the performance of their official duties regardless of whether the constables and/or deputy constables drive county vehicles or their own personal vehicles.
HB 534 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts relating to school bus transportation provided in the Foundation School Program Act.
HB 657 Caption: Relating to amending the law creating the Dallas County Water Supply and Control District by changing the method of selecting the Directors for said District; changing the terms and qualifications of such directors; and to authorize the District to convey its properties to any other District established under the Constitution and thereupon be dissolved.
HB 863 Caption: Relating to constituting a local law for the maintenance of public highways for Dallas County, to become operative after an election shall have been held and carried in said County; authorizing the tax collector of Dallas County to collect certain amounts of money form owners of such vehicles; requiring owners of such vehicles, upon which the registration fee is required to be paid in Dallas County to pay such money to the tax collector; prohibiting the operation of any such vehicle on the roads, highways or streets of Dallas County without the payment of such money.
HB 904 Caption: Relating to allowing the Commissioners Court in certain counties to fix the salaries of the District, County and Precinct Officers and all deputies and employees of such counties; to provide that the Commissioners Court shall fix the number of deputies and employees of certain District, County and Precinct Officers.
HB 925 Caption: Relating to providing for additional compensation from county funds for certain district judges; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
HB 938 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts with reference to the amount to be collected by the tax collector of Dallas County from the owners of trucks, trailers, semi-trailers, motor buses, and street or suburban buses.

HB 29 Caption: Relating to providing for the manner and method of forfeiting, restoring or permitting the retention of certain licenses, being hunting, fishing and trapping licenses; providing it shall be unlawful to hunt, fish, trap or use fishing gear within one year after forfeiture of license to hunt, fish, trap or use fishing gear.
HB 103 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes by providing for the creation of private corporations to engage in the business of employment or labor agencies recruiting workers for employment and dissemination of information in connection thereto, and for the performance of any lawful act in connection therewith.
HB 286 Caption: Relating to amending Section 5, Chapter 171, Acts 1947, 50th Legislature, so as to make the General Laws of Texas relating to maintenance taxes and bonds of independent school districts incorporated under Title 49, Revised Civil Statutes, as amended, applicable to independent school districts created under Chapter 171, Acts 1947.
HB 323 Caption: Relating to enabling the Game and Fish Commission to sell or exchange sections or parcels of land in Brewster, Culberson or Hudspeth Counties.
HB 324 Caption: Relating to authorizing the leasing of grazing rights upon, and the sale of timber or other valuable products taken from, lands acquired by the Game and Fish Commission for use as game management areas; providing the grazing lease or product sales shall be made by the State Board of Control.
HB 377 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code so as to make it unlawful for a manager or owner of premises used for hunting to receive a guest for pay before such manager has received a license from the Game and Fish Commission to define a "shooting preserve", to require the issuance of one license for each "shooting preserve", to require certain prerequisites before the issuance of said license, to require all managers to keep a suitable record book to record required information, to provide for the cancellation of licenses, to provide a penalty, and to provide for the duties of the Game and Fish Commission in regard to the license used.
HB 439 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts to broaden the tax base relative to the conducting of any fistic combat, boxing, sparring or wrestling, contest or exhibition where a money remuneration is charged or received.
HB 465 Caption: Relating to creating a Conservation District comprising certain territory contained within Dallas County, Texas, for the purpose of providing a source of water supply for municipal, domestic and industrial use and processing, transporting, and distributing the same.
HB 574 Caption: Relating to providing that any bank or trust company doing business in counties in this State having a population of more than Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand (350,000) inhabitants, according to the last preceding Federal Census, may, at its option, close on Saturday or any other week-day and that such day shall be deemed to be a legal holiday for bank purposes.
HB 577 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation out of any funds of the State of Texas available, the sum of Three Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,500,000.00) to the University of Texas for the use and benefit of the Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, Texas, to be used only for new buildings as the Board of Regents of the University of Texas might direct.
HB 597 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by providing for an annual election of members of the Board of Trustees of certain independent school districts.
HB 759 Caption: Relating to exempting motor vehicles from the ad valorem tax and to permit counties, cities, and towns to levy and collect a license tax in lieu thereof after an election is held for that purpose; providing for administration of this Act; setting penalties for violation.
HB 793 Caption: Relating to the terms and appointment of Members of the Senate and the House of Representatives on the Legislative Budget Board and the Legislative Council, or on any other interim Committee.
HB 803 Caption: Relating to repealing all local and special laws which fix a bag limit or an open season on beaver.
HB 907 Caption: Relating to providing for the creation of county-wide hospital districts in counties having a population of 190,000 or more and Galveston County, according to the last preceding federal census.
HJR 23 Caption: Proposing a constitutional amendment permitting the Legislature to establish salaries of officers and elected officials.
HJR 26 Caption: Proposing a constitutional amendment providing that the Legislature may pass laws authorizing the Commissioners' Court of any County to levy certain taxes for the purchase, construction, maintenance and operation of hospitals owned by such counties or owned jointly by any city or county.
HJR 33 Caption: Relating to proposing a constitutional amendment to permit the Legislature to exempt motor vehicles from ad valorem taxes on property and to permit the Legislature to permit counties, cities, and towns to levy a license fee in lieu thereof.

HB 6 Caption: Relating to making appropriations for completion, construction, and equipment of new buildings for the Southwestern Medical School, the University of Texas Dental Branch, and the Texas Prison System and for replacement or renovation of physical plant and equipment for the Texas School for the Deaf; fixing terms governing architectural fees and services authorized by the Act.
HB 119 Caption: Relating to authorizing cities having more than Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand (250,000) population to issue Airport Revenue Bonds for purposes, under conditions, and having specifications as provided herein.

HB 17 Caption: Relating to requiring, providing for form issuance and effective period of and fixing fees for, resident and nonresident hunting licenses; providing for issuance and use of deer tags; providing suitable penalty for violation of any provision of this Act.
HB 116 Caption: Relating to making the 134th Judicial District Court of Dallas County, Texas, a permanent constitutional district court; activating and confirming the criminal jurisdiction of said court co-extensive with the limits of Dallas County, Texas; providing for the term of office of the Judge of said court.
HB 139 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes providing for salaries of certain justices of the peace and constables.
HB 150 Caption: Relating to providing for automobile expense allowance for certain Justices of the Peace, Constables, and Investigators for the District Attorney in certain Counties.
HB 218 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts by providing that Policemen and Firemen and Fire Alarm Operators may, while serving their probationary period have the benefits of the Act; providing for a system of benefits for Policemen and Firemen and Fire Alarm Operators if they suffer injury or receive injuries resulting in death while in active performance of their duties, that they, or their beneficiaries may participate in said Fund.
HB 393 Caption: Relating to amending the Public Accountancy Act of 1945.
HB 531 Caption: Relating to amending certain Articles to perpetuate a state bureau of Child and animal protection, as a body corporate, under the name Texas State Humane Society; with power to organize and maintain in the state local or subordinate organizations, and conferring thereon powers, privileges, immunities and duties processed by the state society and each of the branches thereof, upon which the same is hereafter conferred; adding provisions to the Penal Code of the State of Texas relating to authority of officers, definitions, and cruelty to fowls, poultry, and birds.
HB 720 Caption: Relating to making it unlawful to sell, give or barter or cause to be sold, given or bartered to any minor under the age of eighteen (18) years or to sell to another for delivery to such minor any narcotic drug as defined in the Penal Code of the State of Texas, except as otherwise authorized in same code; prescribing the penalty for conviction for violation of this act.
HB 775 Caption: Relating to fixing the amount and authorizing the payment of the salaries of the sheriff, the district clerk, the county clerk, the district attorney or criminal district attorney, the assessor and collector of taxes, and the county judge in all counties have a population of six hundred thousand (600,000) or more.
HB 783 Caption: Relating to amending the Code of Criminal Procedure as relating to and providing for the Criminal District Court and the Criminal District Court No. 2 of Dallas County; creating Criminal Judicial Districts of Dallas County, Texas.
HB 791 Caption: Relating to fixing the maximum and minimum of the salaries to be paid Judges of the County Courts-at-Law, County Criminal Courts and County Probate Courts in counties having a population of six hundred thousand (600,000) or more according to the last preceding or any future Federal Census.
HB 803 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code providing that hunting, fishing, trapping and other such licenses shall be automatically forfeited upon a finding that a person has willfully or by gross negligence violated any of the laws which the Game, Fish and Oyster Commission is charged with enforcing; providing for a penalty for the violation of any provision of this Act.
HJR 9 Caption: Proposing an amendment providing that the Legislature may provide for trials in lunacy cases without a jury.
HJR 16 Caption: Proposing an amendment authorizing the Legislature to fix the term of office and compensation of certain constitutional officers; authorizing the Legislature to fix the term of office and compensation of the Governor; authorizing the Legislature to fix the compensation of the Lieutenant Governor, the Secretary of State, the Attorney General, the Comptroller of Public Accounts, the Treasurer and the Commissioner of the General Land Office.

HB 14 Caption: Relating to providing for an annual audit by the State Auditor of all accounts, books and other financial records of county officers in each county of the State; providing for an appropriation; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
HB 146 Caption: Relating to providing for and requiring big game hunting license for hunting deer or turkey; fixing penalty for violation of this Act; making exceptions;
HB 180 Caption: Relating to providing for remittance of 80% of county court fines and penalties and 85% of justice court fines and penalties recovered in prosecution of laws which it is or may hereafter be the duty of the Game, Fish and Oyster Commission to enforce; repealing all laws or parts thereof in conflict herewith.
HB 181 Caption: Relating to requiring, providing for form, issuance and effective period of, and fixing fees for, resident and nonresident hunting licenses.
HB 404 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing for the creation of the position of assignment clerk for all counties having at least eight (8) District Courts, two (2) of which are Criminal Courts, and at least four (4) County Courts, two (2) of which are Criminal Courts at Law and one (1) is a County Criminal Court, providing for the appointment of such clerk and for duties and salary.
HB 405 Caption: Relating to providing for the payment of money in wife and child desertion cases to the probation officer or the district clerk, as the Juvenile Board may direct, and the disbursement of such funds.
HB 504 Caption: Relating to providing for the disposition of property where there is no sufficient evidence that persons have died otherwise than simultaneously; providing a severance clause; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
HB 505 Caption: Relating to providing for acknowledgments of written instruments; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
HB 573 Caption: Relating to providing that authority is conferred on Dallas County to adopt a "Home Rule Charter" by a favoring vote of the resident qualified electors of said county.
HB 592 Caption: Relating to providing for salaries of constables and justices of the peace in counties having at least eight (8) District Courts, two (2) of which are Criminal District Courrs, and at least four (4) County Courts, two (2) of which are County Courts of Law and one (1) is a County Criminal Court.
HB 747 Caption: Relating to making it unlawful for any person to enter or enroll in any State University or State College without first signing a statement that he is not a member of the Communist, Facist, or Nazi Party; providing a penalty; fixing an operative date for this Act; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
HB 811 Caption: Relating to authorizing Commissioners' Courts of counties, which have voted to do so, to provide for county planning; providing for penalties and the enforcement of the Act; repealing all Acts in conflict herewith.
HJR 5 Caption: Proposing an Amendment to Section 5 of Article III of the Constitution relating to sessions of the Legislature (annual sessions) and what may be considered thereat and an Amendment to Section 24 of Article III relating to compensation of Members of the Legislature; specifying the time when the Amendment shall take effect if ratified; and providing for the submission of the proposed Amendment to a vote of the people.
HJR 32 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Article I of the Constitution of the State of Texas by providing that the right to jury trial in lunacy cases shall be the same as in ordinary civil cases, and further providing for waiver of a jury trial; further providing for the submission of this Amendment to the voters of this State; prescribing the form of ballot; providing for the proclamation and publication thereof.

HB 96 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, making an appropriation of moneys coming into the County and Road District Highway Fund.
HB 151 Caption: Relating to requiring every person now or hereafter employed by the State or any municipality or other subdivision, and every person receiving pay from any public funds before receiving any salary wages or other compensation, to take a certain pledge; making it a misdemeanor to violate said pledge and fixing the punishment therefor and for the discharge of such employee violating said pledge.
HB 182 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code to provide for remittance of 80% of county court fines and penalties and 85% of justice court fines and penalties recovered in prosecution of laws which it is or may hereafter be the duty of the Game, Fish and Oyster Commission to enforce; repealing laws and parts of laws in conflict.
HB 183 Caption: Relating to providing for transfer of moneys now on deposit in the State Treasury to the credit of the Special Game Fund, the Special Fish Propagation and Protection Fund, the Sand, Shell and Gravel Fund, the Fish and Oyster Fund, and the Lake Worth-Eagle Mountain Lake Fund, to a single fund in the State Treasury to be known as the Special Game and Fish Fund; providing for an effective date of this Act; repealing conflicting laws.
HB 567 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing that corporations may be formed for the purpose of dealing in agricultural commodities, poultry, dairy products, livestock; to operate cold storage plants, warehouses, locker plants; to manufacture ice and non-intoxicating beverages; and for other allied purposes.
HB 598 Caption: Relating to carrying into effect Section 62a of Article 16 of the Constitution, creating an employees retirement fund for county employees.
HB 728 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes to provide for the re-commitment of insane patients to state institutions at any time by the County Judge.
HB 744 Caption: Relating to providing for the re-numbering of re-built second-hand or used or junked automobile motors.
HJR 10 Caption: Relating to proposing a constitutional amendment to provide for additional sessions of the Legislature and the Committees thereof.

HB 541 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes by providing for purchase of automobiles for tax assessor and collector to be used for official business in certain counties, etc.
HB 542 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by authorizing the appointment and employment of a "Night Chief Deputy" in addition to the first assistant or chief deputy now authorized in the Sheriff's office in all counties having a population of three hundred and ninety-five (395,000) inhabitants or more, according to the last preceding Federal Census.
HB 736 Caption: Relating to creating the Dallas County Flood Control District in Dallas County, Texas, and defining its powers; repealing all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith.
HB 837 Caption: Relating to providing that assignment of reporters of daily newspapers of general circulation to the Court House in all counties having eight or more district courts for twenty or more consecutive years prior to making application to take the bar examination shall be equivalent to and may be substituted for the prelegal study and training and study of the law required as a prerequisite for the taking of the examination to practice law, provided such applicant meets the requirements as to moral character.
HB 859 Caption: Relating to fixing the compensation of certain designated District, County and Precinct Officers and Employees in counties having a population of three hundred and forty thousand (340,000) or more, and less than five hundred thousand (500,000) according to the last preceding Federal Census; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
HB 868 Caption: Relating to amending certain Article so as to include May 8th as a legal holiday.

HB 255 Caption: Relating to providing for the public sale of all bonds issued by any county, city, town, school district, or other political sub-division or municipal corporation of the State of Texas.
HB 318 Caption: Relating to amending the Revised Civil Statutes relative to providing for certain school fund balances not expended for the current year to be placed in the School Equalization Fund in certain counties.
HB 860 Caption: Relating to prescribing the method for the annexation of unoccupied territory contiguous and adjacent to the city limits of certain incorporated cities or towns, on petition of the owners of all such territory; providing for the recording of such petitions.
HB 926 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Act to empower and authorize certain counties to establish, own, and operate a parental home and school for the training of dependent and delinquent youth residents.
HB 955 Caption: Relating to prescribing the method for the annexation of unoccupied territory of certain incorporated cities and towns on petition of the owners of all such territory.
HB 1008 Caption: Relating to the payment to the County Judges in certain counties a compensation for the services of such County Judges as budget officers of the counties.
HB 1012 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Commissioners Court of certain counties to issue bonds for the purpose of refunding any or all outstanding indebtedness of such county chargeable against the General Fund which existed on April 30, 1941.
HB 1029 Caption: Relating to authorizing and empowering the Commissioners Court in certain counties to purchase fire trucks and other fire-fighting equipment for the protection and preservation of bridges, warehouses, shops, and other property located within the limits of any incorporated city or town.
HJR 2 Caption: Proposing a constitutional amendment providing that counties may levy, assess, and collect such taxes as may be authorized by law but not to exceed Eighty (80) Cents on the one hundred dollars valuation in any one year.

HB 4 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Act declaring the policy of the State with reference to financing the constructing of county lateral roads.
