SB 9 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes allowing cities and towns of this State to enter into contracts with an attorney of this State for the collection of delinquent taxes, and to receive the same compensation as now allowed attorneys under contract for such purposes with the State and county.
SB 15 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes so as to rearrange, change and provide the terms and the time of holding District Court in Val Verde, Terrell, Maverick, Kinney and Edwards Counties, Texas, constituting the Sixty-third Judicial District of Texas.
SB 16 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes to provide that attorneys fees be paid as part of judgment if valid claim.
SB 68 Caption: Relating to mortgages, deeds of trust, or other security instruments executed by (a) corporations engaged in this State in the generation, manufacture, transmission, distribution and sale of electric energy and power to the public; (b) corporations engaged in this State in the transportation, distribution and sale through local distribution system or systems of natural gas to the public for domestic, commercial, industrial or any other use; and (c) corporations owning or operating in this State any gas pipe line or lines for the transportation and sale of natural gas to other pipe line companies or to local distribution systems or to municipalities, or to industrial consumers for their own use.
SB 99 Caption: Relating to extending the time for payment of all notes or obligations executed by purchasers of school land for the unpaid balance of principal due the State thereon which are due or will become due prior to November 1, 1961.
SB 100 Caption: Relating to prohibiting any person from walking upon, along, or across, or from driving or riding upon any bicycle or animal-drawn or motor-driven vehicle upon, along, or across any railroad track, team track, bridge, viaduct or trestle, with certain exceptions; and prohibiting any person from entering upon private premises or property owned by a railroad or used for the carrying on of railroad operations; providing penalties for violation of this act.
SB 218 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts so as to provide for a standard burial-transit permit; regulations of the State Department of Health regulating the disposal, transportation, interment, and disinterment of dead bodies to such extent as may be reasonable and necessary for the protection of the public health and safety.
SB 219 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts to provide that the State Department of Health shall make and may amend regulations for collecting, recording, transcribing, compiling and preserving vital statistics and shall be authorized to suspend any part or parts of the Vital Statistics Law in time of disaster and substitute emergency regulations therefor.
SB 220 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts so as to provide for a standard certificate of birth.
SB 227 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes providing for County Juvenile Boards in certain counties; providing for compensation.
SB 228 Caption: Relating to the construction, acquisition and operation of automotive parking stations by cities and towns of not less than 50,000 population, (herein called "Eligible Cities") and providing for the financing thereof.
SB 276 Caption: Relating to providing for the fixing of compensation of judges of District Courts in counties in this State which comprise a part of a Judicial District consisting of not less than five counties, of which two of said counties have two or more District Courts.
SB 277 Caption: Relating to enabling the Game, Fish and Oyster Commission to sell or exchange sections or parcels of land in Brewster, Culberson or Hudspeth Counties.
SB 299 Caption: Relating to validating all revenue bonds issued by cities and towns of five thousand inhabitants, or less, for the purpose of acquiring an electric light and power system.
SB 304 Caption: Relating to providing for election for removal of County Seat by vote of two-thirds of the electors in the county voting when such county seat is situated within ten miles of the geographical center of the court and is sought to be moved to another location, and providing that when the County Seat is more than ten miles from the geographical center and is sought to be moved to a point within ten miles of such center shall be determined by a majority of said electors voting at such election.
SB 305 Caption: Relating to providing for the procedure for removal of County Seat, and providing that upon the written application of not less than 100 freeholders and qualified voters, who are resident citizens of the County, asking for an election submitted to the County Judge that such election shall be called, and that the County Judge shall call such election.
SB 352 Caption: Relating to amending Statutes governing advertising of bids by cities and counties.
SB 355 Caption: Relating to providing that the extension of boundaries of a city so as to include a part of a school district, shall not affect the eligibility of such district for transportation aid, providing that such districts shall be eligible for transportation aid, including aid for the scholastic year ending in 1951, to the same extent that such district would have been eligible if part thereof had not been annexed by such city.
SB 364 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts by authorizing the assignment of rejected automobile or motor vehicle public liability risks to either a Mutual Pool or Stock Pool, such pools consisting of all insurers writing motor vehicle public liability insurance in Texas, so as to permit such of such rejected automobile or motor vehicle risks as are required by the laws of this State to carry automobile such insurance in some company authorized to transact automobile or motor vehicle public liability insurance business in this State.
SB 371 Caption: Relating to fixing the rate of tax to be levied for school purposes in all common school districts in counties having a population of less than three thousand, two hundred fifty (3,250) inhabitants.
SB 384 Caption: Relating to authorizing the official court reporter of the Seventieth Judicial District, composed of the counties of Midland and Ector, to appoint a deputy court reporter for the Seventieth Judicial District.
SB 395 Caption: Relating to amending the Texas Liquor Control Act so as to provide that any person may bring into this State from any other State not more than one quart of Liquor for his own personal use if the required State tax thereon is paid and stamp affixed.
SB 399 Caption: Relating to any city which owns a portion of a bridge over the Rio Grande which is situated within the United States of America purchased with the proceeds of bonds payable from the net revenues from the operation of such bridge, and which has issued refunding bonds payable from such net revenues and reserving in the city the right to issue additional bonds payable from the same source and secured by the same revenues.
SB 402 Caption: Relating to fixing the salaries of the District Attorney of the 34th Judicial District authorizing the Commissioners Courts of the 34th Judicial District to pay or to supplement the salary of the District Attorney paid by the State of Texas in proportion to the percentage of population.
SB 415 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Commissioner of the General Land Office to sell to R. C. Ivey Public School land Section 14, block A, Certificate 7036, T. & P. Ry. Co. Survey in Hudspeth County, at a price of Seven & 25/100 (7.25) Dollars per acre, under the terms and conditions and limitations provided by Statute for the sale of Surveyed Public Free School Lands, and under such rules and regulations as may be prescribed by the Commissioner of the General Land Office.
SB 421 Caption: Relating to authorizing any city whose nearest boundary line is not more than five miles from a vehicular bridge across the Rio Grande to purchase such bridge or that portion thereof which is within the United States of America.
SB 455 Caption: Relating to providing for the employment of a manger, tax assessor and collector, and other employees, by the directors of Water Improvement Districts operating under contract with the Department of the Interior of the United States of America, the major portion of the irrigation works for which district shall have been constructed under authority of the United States.
SB 456 Caption: Relating to providing for the election of directors for a term of four years in Water Improvement Districts operating under contract with the Department of the Interior of the United States of America, the major portion of the irrigation works for which district shall have been constructed under authority of the United States.
SB 457 Caption: Relating to defining the qualifications of electors in Water Improvement Districts operating under contract with the Department of the Interior of the United States of America, the major portion of the irrigation works for which district shall have been constructed under authority of the United States.
SB 467 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation to pay the salaries of the Justices, Judges, and Commissioners of the District, Criminal District, and Appellate Courts of Texas, in order to pay the additional rate of salaries.

SB 60 Caption: Relating to amending certain Act relating to contracts made by Commissioners Court for collection of delinquent taxes so as to include cities, towns and independent school districts, within the provisions of this Act.
SB 95 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing an optional method of establishing an Board of Equalization for districts referred to therein.
SB 109 Caption: Relating to creating a special road law for Presidio County, Texas, providing that said County may fund or refund the indebtedness outstanding against its Road and Bridge Fund as of January 1, 1949, setting forth the method of operation; providing that this Law shall be cumulative of General Laws on the subject of roads and bridges and General Laws on funding or refunding bonds, not in conflict herewith; enacting provisions incident and relating to the subject and purpose of this Act; repealing all laws in conflict.
SB 127 Caption: Relating to appropriating the unexpended balance out of funds appropriated for use of the Pecos River Compact Commissioner in Senate Bill No. 17, Acts of the 50th Legislature for use of said Pecos River Compact Commissioner for the biennium ending August 31, 1949.
SB 128 Caption: Relating to creating a special road law for Regan County, Texas; providing that said County may fund or refund the indebtedness outstanding against its Road and Bridge Fund as of February 20, 1949;enacting provisions incident and relating to the subject and purpose of this Act; repealing all laws in conflict.
SB 169 Caption: Relating to approving and adopting the Pecos River Compact.
SB 219 Caption: Relating to providing for the Commissioner's Courts in Counties wherein Union Junior College Districts, County Junior College Districts and Joint County Junior College Districts are located to order the election of the first board of trustees, determine and designate the number and location of polling places, appoint election judges, receive and canvas returns, declare the results, issue election certificates, and administer the oath of office; repealing all laws or parts of laws in conflict with this Act.
SB 220 Caption: Relating to creating the 131st Judicial District Court for Ector County.
SB 250 Caption: Relating to authorizing counties having an assessed valuation of not less than Forty-two Million (42,000,000.00) Dollars and a population of not more than four (4) persons per square mile to vote, levy, assess and collect a county-wide school maintenance tax; providing that this shall be cumulative with a previous Act.
SB 299 Caption: Relating to changing the name of the School or College of Mines and Metallurgy at El Paso to the "Texas Western College of the University of Texas."
SB 300 Caption: Relating to providing that the 70th Judicial District of Texas shall hereafter be composed of the counties of Midland and Ector.
SB 301 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, establishing the central Bureau of Vital Statistics.
SB 314 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Board of Regents of The University of Texas to fix the term of all surface leases on University lands, except right-of-way easements and grazing leases which shall be limited to not more than ten years; validating prior leases.
SB 315 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, giving the Board of Regents of The University of Texas exclusive authority to control, manage, and dispose of all minerals, other than oil and natural gas, in University lands.
SB 320 Caption: Relating to validating the annexation of territory and the extension of the boundaries of all cities and towns incorporated under the General Laws and having a population of five thousand (5,000) inhabitants or less, according to the last preceding Federal Census.
SB 321 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, protecting carriers against fictitious and unjust claims for damages based on arbitrary, unreasonable and intrinsic values of certain commodities; repealing all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith.
SB 332 Caption: Relating to providing for County Juvenile Boards in counties having a population of less than 70,000 inhabitants, according to the last preceding Federal Census, and forming a part of a Judicial District, in which four or more of the counties composing such Judicial District border on the international Boundary between the United States and the Republic of Mexico.
SB 341 Caption: Relating to the Jurisdiction of the County Court of Edwards County, Texas; repealing all laws in conflict with this Act.
SB 342 Caption: Relating to creating a conservation district under Article XVI, Section 59, of the Constitution comprising the territory contained within the cities of Colorado City, Big Spring, Midland and Odessa, for the purpose of providing a source of water supply for municipal, domestic and industrial use and processing and transporting the same; enacting other provisions relating to this subject.
SB 343 Caption: Relating to authorizing any city or town within this State which is situated within any conservation district created by the Special Act of the Legislature under Article 16, Section 59 of the Constitution for the principal purpose of supplying water to cities to enter into a contract with such district for supplying water to such city and authorizing such city to lease its water production, water supply and water supply facilities to such district, or make a contract with such district for the operation of such water facilities; enacting other provisions relating to the subject.
SB 344 Caption: Relating to regulating and licensing itinerant truckers; providing a criminal penalty for violation of this Act; providing for severability; repealing conflicting laws.
SB 355 Caption: Relating to ratifying and validating the proceedings of Maverick County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 in connection with the issuance of refunding bonds and improvement bonds in 1935 and 1936, including a special assessment; providing a savings clause.
SB 391 Caption: Relating to amending previous Acts, placing an obligation on owners of oil & gas leases to adequately protect leased premises against drainage from lands not included in Articles 5367 and 5368, school and asylum land; preserving the validity of any provision of this Act not specifically held to be unconstitutional.
SB 435 Caption: Relating to restoring the civil and criminal jurisdiction of the County court of Glasscock County heretofore transferred to the District Court; repealing all laws in conflict.
SB 461 Caption: Relating to providing for the changing of the name of Sul Ross State Teachers College at Alpine, Brewster County, Texas, to Sul Ross State College.
SB 463 Caption: Relating to authorizing counties having a population of not less than six thousand one hundred forty-one (6,141) and not more than six thousand one hundred fifty (6,150) inhabitants according to the last preceding Federal Census, and having an assessed valuation of not less than Twenty-one Million ($21,000,000) Dollars according to the last approved tax rolls, to acquire by purchase or otherwise an airport; providing certain limitations; providing this Act shall be severable.
SB 488 Caption: Relating to any city which has outstanding waterworks or waterworks and sewer system revenue bonds and which has on hand sufficient money to pay such bonds together with the interest thereon to the date when they become due or optional for prior payment and the contract premium if any; containing a severability clause; making the Act cumulative but controlling when inconsistent with or in conflict with other laws; enacting other provisions relating to this subject.
SB 498 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, securing the State against drainage of oil and/or gas by lease on lands not included in this law; providing for the validity of remaining portions of this Act in the event parts thereof are held unconstitutional.
SJR 9 Caption: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the State of Texas authorizing the Legislature to provide for the establishment of health units, and authorizing a tax in support thereof.
