51st Regular Session
HB 84 Caption: Relating to amending and clarifying the Liquor Control Act; repealing all laws in conflict.
HB 336 Caption: Relating to the relinquishing and granting unto adjacent landowners the title to beds and channels of all abandoned rivers, streams and channels that have been or may hereafter be abandoned by reason of relocation of the beds or channels of such rivers and streams by flood control districts
HB 762 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing for a Board of Education or Board of Trustees of nine (9) members to be elected for a term of three (3) years, the terms to be so arranged that one-third (1/3) shall be elected annually on the first Saturday in April.
HB 837 Caption: Relating to regulating and providing safeguards in the employment and admission of persons in State-supported universities and colleges; to provide for an oath; to provide for the expulsion or dismissal of certain students and employees under certain conditions; providing for appeal.
HB 941 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing that no tax shall be levied for the Confederate Pension Fund prior to January 1, 1953, and thereafter only such tax shall be levied as is required for the payment of Confederate Pension and the rate for such tax thereafter shall be fixed by the Automatic Tax Board and in no event shall such tax exceed Two (2) Cents on the One Hundred ($100.00) Dollar valuation.

HB 1 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation of the sum of Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000) to pay the contingent expenses, and to pay the mileage and per diem of members and the per diem of officers and employees of the Regular Session of the Fiftieth Legislature, and to pay any unpaid accounts or expenses of the Forty-Ninth Legislature.
HB 428 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts relative to credit unions.
HB 625 Caption: Relating to creating Dallas County Park Cities Water Control and Improvement District No. 2; enacting other provisions incident and necessary to the subject and purpose of this Act.
HB 755 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, to provide for appointment of a State Superintendent of Public Instruction by the State Board of Education; repealing conflicting laws.
HB 757 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, to provide that purchase and distribution of free textbooks shall be under the management of the State Board of Education; to provide for the abolishment of the Textbook Division in the State Department of Education; repealing conflicting laws.
HB 806 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, authorizing the Commissioners Court in certain counties to furnish the juvenile officer an automobile and to make allowances for expenses of such officer and his assistants as the Court may think proper.
HB 813 Caption: Relating to creating Dallas County Park Cities Water Control and Improvement District No. 2, embracing lands in the County of Dallas, State of Texas, as a conservation and reclamation district and body politic and corporate, defining its boundaries, which boundaries include the present Dallas County Park Cities Water Control and Improvement District No. 2, and additional territory; providing a saving clause.

HB 141 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes by permitting a credit union under prescribed limitations to borrow money not to exceed fifty per cent (50%) of its capital and surplus; and by providing for the conditions for the making of loans and removing the limitation of the period for which loans may be made.
HB 302 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes by providing that consolidation of certain incorporated cities or towns does not include consolidation or school districts.

HB 10 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code relating to corporal punishment of prisoners in prison system.

HB 431 Caption: Relating to making it unlawful to sell tickets to any sports event, amusement, or entertainment in Texas for which an admission charge is made, in excess of the purchase price of the ticket appearing thereon, without having procured a license therefor from the Comptroller of Public Accounts of the State of Texas; prescribing penalties.
HB 598 Caption: Relating to authorizing the State Highway Commission to issue a third number plate, tag, sticker, or device, for certain motor vehicles, and authorizing the Commission to make rules and regulations governing such plates; providing for penalties.
HB 715 Caption: Relating to ratifying, confirming, and validating orders of certain County Boards of Trustees relating to the establishment, combining, abolishing, changing of boundaries, detaching territory from, or annexing territory to school districts in certain counties.
HB 718 Caption: Relating to providing a method for the exclusion of lands and for elections upon the question of exclusion of lands from Fresh Water Supply Districts.
HB 719 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Act of the Revised Civil Statutes providing for the assumption by incorporated cities or towns of a certain population of the proportionate part of the bonded indebtedness of any fresh water supply district.

HJR 13 Caption: Proposing to amend Article V, Section 18, of the Constitution of the State of Texas, so as to abolish the office of Constables.

HB 141 Caption: Relating to amending certain Act relating to the County and Road District Highway Fund so as to provide that all eligible obligations on or after January 1, 1938, shall participate in the funds on hand and coming into the County and Road District Highway Fund to the extent of the total amount thereof expended upon State highways less the amount thereof heretofore paid by the State of Texas out of such funds;
