49th Regular Session
HB 40 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by providing an exemption of any place or places where or from which nothing is sold except ice, ice refrigerators and ice using appliances.
HB 48 Caption: Relating to providing for the acceptance of applications and bids for leases covering islands, salt water lakes, bays, the bed of the sea, inlets, marches and reefs, river beds and channels, and unsold surveyed school lands; repealing all laws and parts of laws in conflict herewith.
HB 64 Caption: Relating to the "Cabbage Standardization and Inspection Act" to be effective during the Texas Cabbage Marketing Season as defined in the Act; providing for the standardization of cabbage by means of compulsory inspection, grading, classification, and marking thereof under the authority of the Commissioner of Agriculture of the State of Texas; providing penalties for violation of this Act.
HB 72 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts concerning disposal of property on foreclosures.
HB 139 Caption: Relating to validating elections heretofore held in any independent school district in this State, at which a maintenance tax for the amount and purposes stated was authorized by the qualified voters voting upon the proposition.

HB 183 Caption: Relating to amending certain article relative to canners or processors of food products.
HB 184 Caption: Relating to authorizing certain independent school districts located to levy and collect additional maintenance taxes; providing for elections to authorize such tax levies.
HB 235 Caption: Relating to appropriating certain funds to the State Department of Agriculture out of existing and accruing funds deposited in the State Treasure to the credit of certain funds.
HB 271 Caption: Relating to appropriating the sum of One Thousand, Seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($1,750) or so much thereof as may be necessary, to the Texas State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers for the employment of two (2) clerks at a salary of One hundred and Twenty-five Dollars ($125) per month each for the remainder of the current fiscal year ending August 31, 1945, such appropriation to be paid out of the Professional Engineer's License Fund.
HB 338 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code by providing penalty for violation of the Pink Boll Worm Law; providing a savings clause.
HB 375 Caption: Relating to providing for the creation of corporations with power (a) to buy livestock, poultry and products of ranch, farm, dairy and creamery, and the by-products thereof, and manufacture, process, and sell such products and by-products; and (b) to buy, manufacturer, and sell feeds, fertilizers, insecticides, and fungicides.
HB 482 Caption: Relating to permitting insurance carriers organized and licensed under the laws of the Republic of Mexico, or any State thereof, to underwrite in the State of Texas automobile coverage, accident and other insurance risks upon persons and personal property while in the Republic of Mexico, prescribing the conditions to be complied with to enjoy such privileges.
HB 484 Caption: Relating to amending certain Act so as to provide that such Act shall be administered by the "Texas Real Estate Commission," providing for the appointment of such Commission and the qualifications and tenure for the members; providing a savings clause.
HB 583 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts to exempt from the provisions of said Chapter any rental or lease agreement covering a rental period of not exceeding four (4) months and involving a total expenditure of Two Hundred Dollars or less.
HB 676 Caption: Relating to empowering certain cities or towns to acquire toll bridge between Texas and Republic of Mexico, etc.
HB 788 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts authorizing independent school districts or common school districts and cities which have assumed the control of public schools situated therein to build or purchase buildings and grounds located within or without the district or city, for the purpose of constructing gymnasia, stadia, or other recreational facilities, to build additions thereto, and to authorize the purchase of additional buildings and grounds for such purposes and to mortgage and encumber the same, and the income thereof, and to evidence the obligation therefor by the issuance of bonds to secure the payment of funds to purchase or construct or to purchase and construct the same.
HB 828 Caption: Relating to amending certain Article relative to the consolidation of school districts.
HB 829 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts relating to the exclusion of land from water improvement districts and water control and improvement districts so as to authorize the exclusion of land which is not agricultural in its nature, as well as land which is of such a nature that it cannot be irrigated in a practicable manner, and so as to provide for the publication of notice of hearing on petitions for such exclusion in a newspaper having a circulation in the district.
48th Regular Session
HB 2 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes so as to authorize use of offices and apartments on the second floor of the Capitol building for bedroom, cooking and other private purposes by the Lieutenant Governor and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
HB 29 Caption: Relating to validating elections heretofore held in any Independent School District in this State, at which a maintenance tax for the amount and purposes stated was authorized by the qualified voters voting upon the proposition.
HB 295 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts pertaining to markets and warehouses and particularly extending the scope and purpose of such Act and authorizing cooperative associations to be organized for the purpose of producing, cultivating and caring for citrus groves in the State of Texas.
HB 307 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by defining the term "Implements of husbandry" to extend said definition to include trucks used exclusively in connection with farm operations, and not operated on any public highway except in going from one farm to another in connection with which it is so used.
HB 308 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts to provide that motor vehicles used exclusively in connection with farm operations and operated across or along a public highway in going from one farm to another in connection with which such vehicle is so used shall not, by reason of such operation upon such highway be deemed a motor vehicle operated, or, intended to be operated, in whole or in part upon any of the public highways, roads or streets of the State of Texas within the intent and meaning of such law.
HB 313 Caption: Relating to fixing the venue of suits by and against Water Control and Improvement Districts.
HB 415 Caption: Relating to requiring all citrus fruits purchased by weight prior to packing to be weighed over public scales, and fixing the fees therefor.
HB 537 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes to permit idiots and imbeciles who are afflicted with epilepsy to be admitted to the Abilene State Hospital.
HB 657 Caption: Relating to describing, defining, and officially naming a system of Co-ordinates for designating the positions of points on the surface of the earth within the State of Texas, to be known as the "Texas Co-ordinate System".
HB 691 Caption: Relating to amending certain Article by providing that it shall apply to fraternal benefit societies and to all other policies falling within the provisions of this Act.

HB 13 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts relating to the operation of commercial motor vehicles on public highways.

HB 420 Caption: Relating to determining the facts and public policy concerning the making of loans of five hundred dollars or less; to define and regulate the business of making loans in the amount of five hundred dollars or less.
HB 526 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Commissioner of Agriculture to establish and maintain quarantine regulations in order to prevent the introduction into or the spread within this State of pests and diseases for the protection of agricultural industry of this State.
HB 609 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Act providing for assessing, levying and collecting taxes, etc.
HB 626 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts relating to annual reports by the Life Insurance Commissioner.
HB 888 Caption: Relating to defining coloring matter and its composition, manufacture, sale, and use in connection with citrus fruit; providing for the analysis of such coloring matter by the Commissioner of Agriculture and for the licensing of the manufacture thereof; making it unlawful to use any dye or color not certified by the United States Department of Agriculture; providing penalties for violation of the Act.
HB 892 Caption: Relating to providing for the excluding of lands from water improvement districts where such land is not subject to irrigation in a practicable manner.
HB 943 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Act relating to the bonding and licensing of dealers in citrus fruits.
HB 1050 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Act relating to Water Control and Preservation District s by providing that lands in any such district lying within an incorporated city or town may be discontinued as part of such District.

HB 99 Caption: Relating to providing for the purchasing, handling, sale, and accounting of sales of citrus fruit grown in the State of Texas.
HB 100 Caption: Relating to making an emergency appropriation to supplement an appropriation made by the Regular Session of the Forty-fourth Legislature for the fiscal year ending August 31, 1937; said appropriation is to pay the salaries and other expenses of the inspection work incident to the eradication of the Pink Bollworm.
HB 101 Caption: Relating to making an emergency appropriation to supplement an appropriation made by the Regular Session of the Forth-fourth Legislature for the fiscal year ending August 31, 1937, found on page 1053, Acts of the Regular Session of the Forty-fourth Legislature; said appropriation is to pay the salaries and other expenses of the inspection work incident to the eradication of the Mexican Fruit Fly, Citrus Canker, and other pests.
HB 254 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute relating to Water Control and Preservation Districts by providing that lands in any such district lying within or adjoining the territorial limits of an incorporated city or town, which was not included in such district at time of the organization of such district, and which lands have been subdivided into town lots and blocks, with streets or other thoroughfares dedicated to the use of the public, and of which a map and such dedication has been duly filed for record with the county Clerk of the County in which such lands are situated, may be discontinued as a part of such District.
HB 257 Caption: Relating to regulating the conduct of canneries, creating a Division of Cannery Inspection to carry on such regulation, providing rules regulating the proper sanitation of canneries under the State Board of Health.
HB 593 Caption: Relating to creating the office of Criminal District Attorney in all counties having a population of not less than seventy-five thousand one (75,001) nor more than seventy-seven thousand, one hundred (77,100), and not containing a city of more than forty thousand (40,000) inhabitants, as determined by the last preceding Federal Census, and in which counties there are one or more Judicial Districts, and in counties of this State having a population of not less than thirty thousand, nine hundred (30,900), and not more than thirty thousand, nine hundred fifty (30,950) inhabitants, as determined by the last preceding Federal Census, and in which the County Attorney performs the duties of County Attorney and District Attorney, and in which there is not now a District Attorney.
HB 652 Caption: Relating to providing that Water Control and Improvement Districts, or Water Improvement Districts, may rent or lease lands of non-resident owners or unknown owners of lands within such districts and apply the rentals to the payment of any delinquent flat rate water assessment due such district on such lands for two (2) years or more, where the said land is lying idle and not cultivated for the preceding two (2) years period, and pay the excess, if any, into the County Treasury, subject to the order of such non-resident or unknown owner.
HB 653 Caption: Relating to making it the duty of the Commissioner of Agriculture of the State of Texas to control and/or eradicate the Mexican fruit fly in the State of Texas; providing penalties.
HB 654 Caption: Relating to providing for and authorizing "marketing agreements" with respect to citrus fruits or citrus fruit; authorizing the Commissioner of Agriculture of the State of Texas to enter into "marketing agreements" with producers, shippers, and/or handlers thereof in intrastate commerce.
HB 773 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Commissioner of Agriculture of this State to establish and maintain quarantine regulations in order to prevent the introduction into or the spread within this State of pests and diseases for the protection of Agricultural industry of this State.
HB 855 Caption: Relating to conserving and promoting the prosperity and welfare of the citrus industry of the State of Texas by promoting the sale of citrus fruits produced in the State of Texas through the conducting of a publicity, advertising and sales promotion campaign to increase the consumption of such citrus fruits.
HB 856 Caption: Relating to establishing standards of containers for the shipment of fruit and vegetables in this State; providing a penalty for violation of this Act.
HB 857 Caption: Relating to repealing certain statutes relating to grading of vegetables.
HB 861 Caption: Relating to authorizing political subdivisions of the State of Texas to lease lands owned by such subdivisions for mineral development purposes and prescribing the method and manner of making such leases.
HB 899 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute relating to Co-operative Marketing Associations, and providing for the manner of determining the value of and payment for the interests of a member upon his death, expulsion or withdrawal or the forfeiture of his membership, in the event that no other provision is made therefor in the by-laws of such Association.
HB 988 Caption: Relating to validating specified actions heretofore taken by counties, cities and towns in issuing funding and refunding securities in attempted compliance with certain statute.
HB 1053 Caption: Relating to fixing an open season or period of time when it shall be lawful to hunt, take or kill wild mourning doves in the South White Wing Zone.
HB 1178 Caption: Relating to providing for the creation of corporations for the purpose of dealing in, buying and selling, preparing for market, and preserving and canning fruits, fruit juices, and vegetables produced in the United States and enumerating the power and authority of such corporations.
45th 1st Called Session
HB 70 Caption: Relating to providing for the giving of a surety bond of Five Thousand ($5,000.00) Dollars, contingent upon faithful performance of all provisions of certain Act.
45th 2nd Called Session
HB 69 Caption: Relating to validating annexation proceedings of Home Rule cities where such annexation proceedings took place prior to April 1, 1930.
HB 70 Caption: Relating to drainage districts; authorizing districts operating under certain provisions of the Constitution to borrow money from the Reconstruction Finance Corporation for refunding purposes and to issue refunding bonds and levy a tax in payment thereof.
HB 77 Caption: Relating to amending certain Act relating to bonds and license of persons purchasing citrus fruit so as to provide that any person purchasing farm products under the provisions of the Act from any bonded or licensed dealer, paying therefor prior to or at the time of taking possession of such farm products the agreed value thereof in current money of the United States, shall be exempt from giving bond under the provisions of the Act and providing for a license to be issued to such person and prescribing the condition of the application for such license and providing for a license fee.
HB 78 Caption: Relating to providing that any person purchasing citrus fruit from any dealer qualified as such, and paying therefor in current money of the United States, shall be exempt from giving the bond provided in certain Act and providing that such person applying for license shall indicate on his application that he desires to operate as a cash buyer, buying only from qualified dealers, prescribing the rights of such cash citrus dealer and providing the amount of license fee, a penalty for violation.

HB 47 Caption: Relating to the sale of immature citrus fruit.
HB 48 Caption: Relating to eliminating compulsory inspection of fruits other than citrus, and vegetables other than potatoes.
HB 49 Caption: Relating to voting by persons unable to appear at polls because of absence from county or physical disability.
HB 50 Caption: Relating to providing for the method and time of securing certificates of exemption by persons exempt under the law from payment of poll taxes, and providing that during the continuous residence of the exempt voter in the voting precinct where such exemption certificate was issued, no additional permanent certificates shall be required.
HB 51 Caption: Relating to authorizing municipalities, political subdivisions and taxing districts to proceed under the provisions of Federal Bankruptcy Laws enacted for the relief of such municipalities, political subdivisions and taxing districts.
HB 68 Caption: Relating to authorizing political subdivisions to sell bonds or securities to reconstruction finance corporation or other Federal Agencies.
HB 74 Caption: Relating to excluding from the Donna Irrigation District, Hidalgo County Number One, also known as Hidalgo COunty Water Control and Improvement District Number Three, all that land now lying within the corporate limits of the City of Donna.
HB 249 Caption: Relating to making certain emergency appropriations out of the General Fund of the State of Texas for the Fund of the State of Texas for the Attorney General's Department for the balance of the fiscal year ending August 31, 1935.
HB 318 Caption: Relating to providing for the licensing of all persons before engaging in the business of a dealer in citrus fruits within the citrus zone of the State of Texas; providing penalties for violation of this Act.
HB 417 Caption: Relating to providing for and fixing the salaries of the members of the Judiciary of the State of Texas and making appropriation for support and maintenance of the Judicial Department of the State of Texas for the two (2) years period beginning September 1, 1935, and ending August 31, 1937.

HB 794 Caption: Relating to prescribing qualifications of voters in all elections, except for issuance of bonds, in water improvement districts, irrigation districts, or water control and improvement districts in this State.
HB 806 Caption: Relating to providing for the withdrawal of securities pledged by depository of public funds in lieu of personal or surety bond and limiting such withdrawal.
HB 863 Caption: Relating to validating all proceedings of water improvement districts relative to refunding or cancellation of bonds.
HB 896 Caption: Relating to authorizing depositories of public funds, now authorized by law to pledge securities in lieu of personal or surety depository bonds, to pledge Home Owners' Loan Corporation bonds which are guaranteed both as to principal and interest by the United States Government as such security.
HB 961 Caption: Relating to making certain emergency appropriations out of the General Revenue of the State Treasury of the State of Texas for certain State Eleemosynary institutions for additional support and maintenance of said institutions for the fiscal year ending August 31, 1935.
HB 999 Caption: Relating to validating Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($450,000) Improvement Bonds and Seven Hundred and Ninety-Four Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($794,500)Refunding Bonds of Hidalgo County Water Control and Improvement District Number 7, Hidalgo County, Texas, and proceedings had in connection therewith.
HB 1002 Caption: Relating to excluding from the Donna Irrigation District, Hidalgo County No. 1, also known as Hidalgo County Water Control and Improvement District No. 3, all that land now lying within the corporate limits of the City of Donna as described by certain metes and bounds.
HB 1004 Caption: Relating to appropriation of the sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, to pay the contingent expenses, and pay the mileage and per diem of members and the officers and employees of the Regular Session of the Forty-fourth Legislature.
44th 1st Called Session
HB 6 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation of the sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) or so much thereof as may be necessary, out of the General Revenue of the State of Texas, to pay the Contingent Expenses of the First Called Session of the Forty-fourth Legislature of the State of Texas.
HB 101 Caption: Relating to granting aid to the property in and inhabitants of Hidalgo County, Texas, and to Hidalgo County made necessary by reason of its location on the Gulf Coast and by reason of calamitous overflows, floods, storms and freezes which cause great destruction of property and loss of life.
HB 130 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation of the sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, to pay the contingent expenses, and to pay the per diem of members and the per diem of officers and employees of the First Called Session of the Forty-fourth Legislature, also to cover unpaid expenses of the Forty-fourth Legislature, Regular Session.
44th 2nd Called Session
HB 27 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation of the sum of One Hundred Thousand ($100,000) Dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, to pay contingent expenses, and to pay the per diem of members and the per diem of officers and employees of the Second Called Session of the Forty-fourth Legislature.
HB 134 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation of the sum of Fifty Thousand ($50,000) Dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, to pay the contingent expenses, and to pay the per diem of members and the per diem of officers and employees of the Second Called Session of the Forty-fourth Legislature, also to cover unpaid expenses of the Regular Session and the First Called Session of the Forty-fourth Legislature.
44th 3rd Called Session
HB 1 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation of the sum of One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars or so much thereof as may be necessary out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, to pay the contingent expenses, and to pay the mileage and per diem of members and the per diem of officers and employees of the Third Called Session of the Forty-fourth Legislature, also to cover the unpaid expenses of the First and Second Calles Sessions of the Forty-fourth Legislature.
HB 70 Caption: Relating to providing for the cession by the State of Texas to the United States of America of all right, title, and interest which the State of Texas may have in and to certain lands in Cameron, and hidalgo Counties comprising the bed and banks of the Rio Grande, and to certain lands in Cameron, Hidalgo, and Willacy Counties comprising the bed and banks of the Arroyo Colorado.
HB 71 Caption: Relating to drainage districts and providing for the leasing of lands owned by such districts for mineral development purposes and providing the manner in which any and all functions, powers and duties exercised by the Commissioners of such drainage districts may be transferred to, be exercised by and vest in the Commissioners' Court of the County within which such drainage districts are wholly situated.
HB 72 Caption: Relating to empowering counties through their Commissioners' Courts, to provide for annual exhibits of horticultural and agricultural products, livestock and minerals and other products of interest to such counties and in connection therewith to establish and maintain museums, including the erection of the necessary buildings and other improvements, in their own counties or in any other county or city in the United States where fairs or expositions are being held.
HB 73 Caption: Relating to authorizing the counties, cities, towns, independent school districts, common school districts, water control and improvement districts, navigation districts, road districts, levee districts, drainage districts, and all other municipal corporations, political subdivisions or districts organized and existing under the Constitution and laws of this State, to convey to the United States of America with or without monetary consideration, upon request thereof, title to property, lands, or interest in lands owned by such municipal corporations, political subdivisions or districts, to enable any department or establishment of the United States to carry out the provisions of any Act of Congress in aid of navigation, flood control, or improvement of water courses, and in order to accomplish any and all of the purposes specified in certain statute.
43rd Regular Session
HB 415 Caption: Relating to making an emergency appropriation out of the General Revenue of the State for the purpose of conducting a poison bait spray campaign in the Lower Rio Grande Valley to control and eradicate and prevent the spread to other parts of the State of the Mexican fruit fly and to meet the emergency appropriation for this campaign made by the United States Government contingent upon the State of Texas doing its share in the bait spray campaign, and to insure the continuance of the interstate trade relations now enjoyed by Texas.
HB 436 Caption: Relating to providing for the relinquishment of interest and penalties on delinquent taxes which were delinquent on February 1, 1933; and providing that same may be paid in ten (10) annual payments with interest on each one-tenth from date of delinquency, and providing penalties for failure to pay annual installments.
HB 548 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute relating to the establishment of cemeteries, mausoleums, or crematories so as to provide for the establishment such cemeteries, mausoleums, or crematories within one mile of the city limits of an incorporated city or town, under certain restrictions.
HB 567 Caption: Relating to providing that in all judgments foreclosing any lien, except a tax lien, on homestead, where the trial court finds, as a matter of fact, that the property on which such a lien is foreclosed constitutes the homestead, no execution, order of sale, or writ of possession shall issue until after the expiration of seven hundred and thirty (730) days after the rendition of a final judgment; repealing all laws and parts of laws in conflict therewith.
HB 568 Caption: Relating to providing that in all sales of real estate made under powers conferred under any deed of trust or other contract lien, where the property which is to be sold constitutes the homestead of the grantor in said deed of trust, notice of such proposed sale shall be given by posting written notice thereof for one hundred and four (104) consecutive weeks prior to the day of sale, repealing all laws and parts of laws in conflict therewith.
HB 569 Caption: Relating to providing the procedure for the nomination, certification, and the printing of the names on the ballots, of candidates for precinct, county, and certain district offices by political parties without a State organization.
HB 579 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute relating to devices to prevent unusual noises on motor vehicles and motorcycles so as to define "muffler," "defective muffler," "a muffler cut-out," "a muffler by-pass"; making it unlawful to operate a motor vehicle or motorcycle, which is not equipped with a muffler, or which is equipped with a defective muffler, or a muffler by-pass; providing penalties; repealing all laws or parts of laws in conflict.
HB 587 Caption: Relating to regulating the manufacture, sale, and use of economic poisons; preventing adulteration, misbranding, and misrepresentation of economic poisons; providing penalties for the violation thereof; providing means for its enforcement; creating the Division of Chemistry Fund.
