44th Regular Session
HB 138 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute relating to the time during which the Industrial Accident Board is allowed to pass upon a claim for workmen's compensation, by adding thereto a provision that if any such claim for compensation shall not be disposed of by said Board within a period of ninety (90) days from the date of filing of same the claimant shall have the right to proceed with his appeal to the district court.
HB 139 Caption: Relating to salaries and per diem of district attorneys in all judicial districts composed of two or more counties, and providing that such district attorneys shall receive pay for each day of service in the necessary discharge of their official duties, and for each day they represent the State in specified capacities.
HB 140 Caption: Relating to providing that the defendant's failure to testify in a criminal trial may be alluded to and commented on by counsel or by jurors in their deliberations.
HB 142 Caption: Relating to providing that when a defendant is acquitted on the grounds of insanity in a criminal case that he shall be committed by the trial court to a State institution for the insane.
HB 143 Caption: Relating to providing that any matter of form or of substance in any indictment or information may be amended at any time before an announcement of ready for trial upon the merits of both parties.

HB 91 Caption: Relating to granting W.E. Bush of San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas permission to bring suit against the State of Texas and the State Highway Department of Texas for damages for personal injuries on account of the negligence of an employee of the State Highway Department, while W.E. Bush was employed on construction work on State Highway No. 70.

HB 59 Caption: Relating to granting to the Upper Colorado River Authority all of the net amounts of the annual current State ad valorem taxes that may be collected from the property and from persons in Coke and Tom Green Counties, Texas, for a period of twenty (20) years, and commencing with the fiscal year beginning September 1, 1937.
