40th Regular Session
SB 23 Caption: Relating to create a conservation commission for the State of Texas, providing for the number of commissioners, fixing the districts from which they are to be appointed.
SB 116 Caption: Relating to making fees of office for the constables more nearly conform to the fees allowed the sheriffs of the State.
SB 133 Caption: Relating to the bond of district clerks; more adequately providing for bonds of district clerks; providing that the county shall pay the premium of said bonds out of the general county fund.
SB 138 Caption: Relating to providing for juvenile officers; providing for their selection, compensation, expenses, and prescribing their duties; providing for their assistants.
SB 228 Caption: Relating to controlling the flood waters of the Trinity River; declaring that a great public calamity exists in the Trinity River Valley that requires immediate legislation for the prevention of the loss of lives and property in said Valley.
SB 246 Caption: Related to increasing the present speed limit of thirty-five miles per hour on motor or other vehicles on the public highways of Texas.
SB 277 Caption: Relating to providing for the approval by municipal authorities before filing, and for the Filing and Recordation of Plans, plats or replats of land lying in or within five miles of the corporate limits of cities having a population of twenty-five thousand persons or over, according to the Federal Census of 1920 and of any subsequent Federal Census.
SB 278 Caption: Relating to authorizing Legislative bodies of incorporated cities and towns to provide for the promotion of health, safety, morals and general welfare of the community.
SB 324 Caption: Relating to authorizing the creation of trust companies.
SB 341 Caption: Relating to providing for the compensation and expenses of delegates to a constitutional convention in the event the same should be voted by the people and for the expenses of such convention; making an appropriation.
SB 364 Caption: Relating to authorizing the formation of private corporations for the purpose of acquiring, owning and colonizing land, provided that no such corporation shall acquire or own more that one hundred thousand acres of land in this State.
SJR 2 Caption: Providing for a convention to frame a Constitution for the State of Texas.
40th 1st Called Session
SB 17 Caption: Relating to highways and the Highway Department of the State of Texas; providing for a State Highway Commission to be composed of nine members, one of such members to be appointed from each of nine different districts of the State described in the Act.
SB 77 Caption: Relating to providing for the control of waters by any mechanical means.
39th Regular Session
SB 36 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute providing that an unrecorded brand on an animal shall not be evidence of ownership.
SB 64 Caption: Relating to defining, regulating and licensing Real Estate Brokers, agents and salesmen within the State of Texas, creating a State Board of Examiners to operate in conjunction with the office of the Commissioner of the General Land Office, and providing for the appointment of such examiners and fixing their qualifications, compensation and terms of office.
SB 97 Caption: Relating to providing for the investment of surplus money of insurance companies.
SB 105 Caption: Relating to validating the charters and amendments to charters of all cities of more than five thousand inhabitants in this State, which have adopted charters or attempted to adopt or amend charters, and validating all proceedings had by city councils or city commissions or other governing authority, of said cities, in regard to the question of the adoption of charters or amendments thereto.
SB 117 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute providing that the bond of the district clerk shall be made in such a sum as the commissioner' court may direct, not to exceed twenty-five thousand ($25,000.00) dollars, and providing for the paying for said bond by the commissioners' court out of the general funds of the county.
SB 118 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute establishing Grubbs Vocational College by providing that the name of said college shall be changed from Grubbs Vocational College to the North Texas Agricultural College, providing for its location and designating it as a branch of the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas.
SB 169 Caption: Relating to providing for the organization and government of Water Control and Improvement Districts, providing such districts may have and exercise all the authority and privileges provided by the Constitution.
SB 173 Caption: Relating to amending the inheritance tax so as to add the words "in contemplation of death" to the clause levying a tax upon property passing by deed, grant, sale or gift made or intended to take effect in possession or enjoyment after the death of the grantor or donor.
SB 181 Caption: Relating to declaring that Tarrant County Water Improvement District No. 1 has heretofore been duly and regularly established as a defined water improvement district in accordance with the provisions of certain statutes; defining the boundaries of said district; granting said district a special law for its local government.
SB 235 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes relating to intoxicating liquors, and to distilled, malt, spirituous, vinous, fermented or alcoholic liquors and alcoholic liquors and alcoholic liquids, compounds and preparations, patent and proprietary medicines or preparations or solutions; providing for better control, prohibition and regulation of traffic in intoxicating liquor; prescribing necessary penalties and defining necessary offenses.
SB 255 Caption: Relating to fixing rate of speed for motor vehicles upon the public highways of the State, and within the corporate limits of any of the incorporated cities or towns, and within the boundaries of towns and villages not incorporated; prescribing penalties for violations of this Act.
SB 256 Caption: Relating to providing for the issuance of oil and gas leases on University land and continuing in force all other laws relating to the issuance of oil and gas permit and development of oil and gas on University lands, except such laws and parts of laws as may conflict with this Act.
SB 453 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute relating to the sale of oil and gas leases on university lands and extension of oil and gas permits heretofore and hereafter issued by providing the conditions upon which said permits may be extended.
38th Regular Session
SB 25 Caption: Relating to providing punishment for obtaining board or lodging or thing of value under false pretenses; drawing any check, draft, or order to defraud.
SB 44 Caption: Relating to appearance bonds, bail bonds, appeal bonds and recognizances in felony cases; prohibiting any attorney at law form becoming surety on any such bonds or recognizance.
SB 71 Caption: Relating to extending the term of the Commission of Appeals of the State of Texas to the last Saturday in June, 1923, and providing for the appointment of judge for said extended term.
SB 113 Caption: Relating to making it unlawful for the superintendent and manager of any line of railroad, or for the receivers of such railroad or for any person operating a railroad, to orally transmit to the members of a train crew, orders regulating the movement of trains along said line of railroad.
SB 122 Caption: Relating to establishing a system of public roads and bridges for Tarrant County and empowering the Commissioners' Court thereof.
SB 145 Caption: Relating to providing for the entering of interlocutory decrees in all divorce suits brought in this state.
SB 146 Caption: Relating to the theft of chickens, and other domestic fowls, within the State of Texas.
SB 172 Caption: Relating to requiring lying-in hospitals, wards in hospitals, maternity homes, and other buildings, rooms, and places owned, kept, conducted, and operated for the reception, care and treatment of pregnant women for compensation to be provided with a proper operating room to be kept in sanitary condition and properly equipped with surgical instruments and appliances.
SB 189 Caption: Relating to reducing the scholastic age to six years and removing the maximum limit of free school age.
SB 190 Caption: Relating to providing that all applications for marriage licenses shall be filed with the county clerk of any county in this State 60 says before the final issuance of such license.
SB 191 Caption: Relating to amending statutes authorizing the incorporation of mutual hail insurance companies by authorizing such mutual companies to insure against loss or damage to growing crops caused by certain events and other menace of substantial existence.
SB 198 Caption: Relating to authorizing any street or suburban railway company, or interurban railway company, to lease or acquire and own, maintain and operate automobiles, automobile buses and automobile bus lines for the transportation of passengers or property, or both.
SB 199 Caption: Relating to providing in the increase of the maximum allowance made to district judges holding court in two or more counties, for traveling expenses and railroad fare.
SB 212 Caption: Relating to creating a board to be known as the State Board of Water Works Examiners, and defining its personnel, their term of office, duties and powers.
SB 246 Caption: Relating to providing for emergency transfer of school children.
SB 247 Caption: Relating to authorizing the transfer of school children.
SB 248 Caption: Relating to requiring a record kept and report made of attendance of teachers at summer normal and county institutes and providing full pay for attendance upon teachers' institutes.
SB 249 Caption: Relating to providing for issuance of serial coupon bonds for the purpose of constructing teachers' homes and purchasing land in connection therewith.
SB 278 Caption: Relating to creating the 96th Judicial District of Texas, and establishing a new civil district court within the limits of Tarrant County.
SB 286 Caption: Relating to creating a Bureau of Plumbing, providing for supervision and enforcement of certain articles as amended; providing for appointment of State Plumbing Inspector.
SB 299 Caption: Relating to providing for an occupation tax on gross sales of wholesale dealers in gasoline, or other mineral oils refined from petroleum.
SB 341 Caption: Relating to providing for a complete educational system commonly known as the County Unit System to be adopted by the respective counties of this State.
SB 342 Caption: Relating to amending a certain statute so as to permit independent school districts to have their taxes assessed and collected by the county assessor and the county collector without being required to have such assessments made at the same valuations that are used for state and county taxation.
SB 422 Caption: Relating to authorizing St. Louis, San Francisco and Texas Railway Company to purchase, own and operate as a part of its line the railroad of International-Great Northern Railroad Company, the railroad of Fort Worth and Rio Grande Railway Company, the railroad of Paris and Great Northern Railroad Company, the railroad of The Brownwood North and South Railway Company, the railroad of Quanah, Acme and Pacific Railway Company, or any one or more of said railroads, together with the franchises, properties, rights and privilege of said companies or any of them, and authorizing the said companies and each and any of them to sell and convey all of its or their said railroads, constructed or to be constructed, and all other properties, rights, franchises and privileges to said St. Louis, San Francisco and Texas Railway Company.
SB 424 Caption: Relating to creating the County Court for Civil Cases No. 2, and prescribing the jurisdiction thereof, giving said Court concurrent jurisdiction with the County Court of Tarrant County.

SB 24 Caption: Relating to authorizing the independent school districts to employ their own tax assessors and to have their taxes collected by the county tax collector, without being required to have their assessment made at the same valuations that are used for State and county taxation.
SB 64 Caption: Relating to providing for protection to public roads and highways of Texas, by prohibiting persons, firms or corporations from making or causing to be made any excavations on, under or across any public highways in Texas.
