39th Regular Session
HB 41 Caption: Relating to defining and regulating veterinary medicine; creating a board of veterinary medical examiners for the examining and licensing of veterinary physicians, surgeons and dentists; and providing for the revocation of their license and fixing suitable penalties for the violation of this act; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
HB 98 Caption: Relating to amending certain act authorizing independent school districts to employ their own tax assessors and have their taxes collected by the county tax collector without being required to have their assessments made at the same valuations that are used for State and county taxation, and providing that I no event shall property be assessed for more than its fair market value, or if it be greater than its real value.
HB 149 Caption: Relating to promoting the efficiency of the State government; creating a State Administrative Board; defining the duties and powers thereof; providing for the transfer to said board of powers and duties now vested by law in other boards, commissions, departments and officers of the State.
HB 402 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute creating the Kirbyville Independent School District in Jasper and Newton Counties, Texas, correcting certain errors in the metes and bounds of said district, and validating bonds of said district.
HB 414 Caption: Relating to creating the Bessmay Independent School District in Jasper County, Texas, out of part of the territory included in the Buna Independent School District; defining its boundaries and re-defining the boundaries of Buna Independent School District; providing for a board of trustees in said district; conferring upon said district and its board of trustees all the rights, powers, privilege and duties now conferred and imposed by the general laws of Texas upon independent school districts and the boards of trustees thereof.
HJR 28 Caption: Proposing an amendment requiring all higher education schools and colleges to charge enough to be self-sustaining.

HB 103 Caption: Relating to creating Road District Number Two (2), in Newton County, Texas, validating and approving all orders made by the commissioners' court of said county, in respect to the organization of said district.

HB 86 Caption: Relating to forbidding any person, firm, associations of persons, corporations or agents of either, to insert in any contract for personal services made with employes, any provision for deducting at stated times, a part of the wages or money due or, under such a contract or withholding any part of wages of employes for the purpose of hospital fees, or as payment for medical services.
HB 214 Caption: Relating to giving employees of corporations the right to select their own family physician.
HJR 27 Caption: Proposing a constitutional amendment relative to mileage of members of the Legislature.

HB 157 Caption: Relating to forbid the issuance by any person, firm, association of persons, corporations, or the agents of either, of any ticket, check, or writing obligatory, to any servant or employee for labor, redeemable or payable only in goods or merchandise by the said person, firm, associations of persons, or corporation, and to provide a penalty for the violation of this act.
HB 495 Caption: Relating to requiring owners of dogs to be responsible for all damage done by them, and to require all dogs to be tagged or marked that run at large.
