HB 44 Caption: Relating to providing for determination, establishment and payment of prevailing scale of wages to all workers who perform labor on public works and for maximum hours of work by all such workers; providing rights of workers on public works; defining offenses and penalties necessary and incident thereto.
HB 817 Caption: Relating to providing that in all counties having a population of two hundred thousand (200,000) inhabitants or more, in which there are two (2) cities having populations between sixty-five thousand (65,000) and one hundred and twenty thousand (120,000), according to the last preceding Federal Census, an annual audit shall be made of all county books, records, and accounts of district, county and precinct officials, agents, or employees including all governmental units of the county, hospitals, farms, and other institutions of the county and all matters pertaining to the fiscal affairs of the county; providing that the first annual audit shall be made in 1964 and completed prior to December 31, 1964.
HB 1017 Caption: Relating to extending and adding to the territory of the Port of Beaumont Navigation District of Jefferson County, Texas, approximately seventy-four (74) acres of land located substantially in Orange County, Texas, and adjoining the present boundary line of the Port of Beaumont Navigation District of Jefferson County, Texas, and removing such territory and land from the territory and land of Orange County Navigation and Port District of Orange County, Texas.
HJR 7 Caption: Relating to proposing a constitutional amendment to provide four-year terms for members of the House of Representatives; to provide for the division of members of the House of Representatives into two (2) classes after each apportionment, seats of the first class to be vacated at the expiration of the first two (2) years and those of the second class to be vacated at the expiration of four (4) years; and to provide that members of the House of Representatives shall not be candidates for any other office at any regular primary or general election without first having resigned from the House of Representatives.
