SB 16 Caption: Relating to defining and regulating the business of representing Legal Reserve Life Insurance Companies as Agent; to provide for the licensing of agents for such insurers; to provide minimum standards and qualifications as conditions precedent to issuance of licenses; to provide for the examination of applicants for said licenses; to provide for the renewal of existing licenses without examination; to fix examination and other fees; to authorize regulations for the administration of this Act; to provide penalties for violation of this Act; to repeal all laws or parts of laws inconsistent with this Act; to provide for partial invalidity.
SB 29 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts prescribing the annual license fees of motor buses.
SB 51 Caption: Relating to amending Statutes relating to Firemen's and Policemen's Civil Service relative to promotion, sick leave, and elections.
SB 52 Caption: Relating to the sale of prearranged or prepaid funeral services or funeral merchandise to be delivered at an undetermined future date dependent upon the death of the contracting party, and the handling of money collected under such contracts; prescribing certain offenses and fixing the penalty therefor; making an appropriation.
SB 60 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by regulating the length of vehicles and combinations of vehicles, including motor buses and mobile homes, and providing exceptions; repealing all laws and parts of laws in conflict herewith; provided, however, that this Act shall not be construed to alter, amend or repeal the existing maximum load limit laws provided for commercial motor vehicles and combinations thereof.
SB 188 Caption: Relating to validating, ratifying and confirming bonds for construction of an auditorium and necessary equipment and facilities including parking facilities and necessary equipment heretofore authorized and any and all acts and proceedings in connection with authorizing such bonds by any incorporated city, including home-rule cities, and validating, ratifying and confirming the pledging the revenues of the auditorium, coliseum, and the facilities and parking facilities in connection with both, including future extensions, additions, replacements and improvements to both, and further pledging other revenues to be derived from parking meters and certain swimming pools in the city; providing this Act shall take precedence over other laws or parts thereof in conflict herewith; providing a savings clause.
SB 270 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes so as to simplify the method of filing claim under the usual penal bond on Public works; and to extend the definition of labor and materials.
SB 299 Caption: Relating to providing for the appointment of four additional Assistant District Attorneys for the 53rd Judicial District; providing for the tenure of appointment; providing that the present existing law relating to the manner of selecting, determining the number, and fixing the amount of salaries to be paid Assistant District Attorneys shall remain in full force and effect; prescribing their qualifications and providing for bond; providing for their powers and duties; providing for the appropriation of Twenty-two Thousand ($22,000) Dollars out of the General Revenue Fund for their salaries and actual travel expenses; providing a saving clause.
SB 324 Caption: Relating to authorizing Lower Colorado river Authority to issue Bonds not to exceed Sixty Five Million ($65,000,000.00) Dollars in aggregate principal amount, repealing that portion of the Lower Colorado River Authority Act limiting amount of Bonds which may be issued by such District to Fifty Million ($50,000,000.00) Dollars and all other laws in conflict herewith.
SB 325 Caption: Relating to providing for coverage of State Employees under the Old Age and Survivors Insurance provisions of the Federal Social Security Act; defining terms; providing for the administration of this act; providing for contributions and pay roll deductions; making allocations and appropriations; creating a special fund to be known as the State Social Security Administration Fund and providing for its administration; providing a severability clause.
SB 331 Caption: Relating to creating a conservation District to be known as Travis County Improvement District No. 1, comprising certain territory contained within Travis County, Texas, which is empowered to acquire, purchase, or construct sanitary and storm sewer system or systems and additions, extensions or improvements thereto and to acquire or purchase all equipment and facilities necessary therefor, and to develop, acquire, purchase, and contract for the purchase of necessary water to be used in connection therewith and to purchase or acquire all necessary lands, easements or right-of-ways for any and all the foregoing purposes.
SB 369 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts pertaining to group life insurance, to allow the insurance of the face amount of a loan or loan commitment made to a debtor with seasonal income for general agricultural or horticultural purposes; providing for the payment of such insurance.
SB 418 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by providing that registration bureaus operated without profit by recognized statewide Licensed Vocational Nurses' Organizations for the enrollment of its professional members only for the purpose of providing professional service to the public shall not be liable for the payment of an occupation taxes and/or license fees; repealing all laws in conflict herewith; providing for a savings clause.
SB 430 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes providing that purchases and contracts awarded by the Board of Control for every State agency, of any kind or character, shall be of the kind and type as requisitioned; providing that the specifications and conditions in such requisitions shall be subject to approval by the Board of Control; providing that any receiving agency of the State receiving items, supplies, equipment, or services shall inspect the same and if in the opinion of the receiving agency of any of the items, supplies, equipment, or services do not meet specifications, such receiving agency is to notify the Board of Control in writing, setting forth reasons and particulars wherein specifications are not met.
SB 437 Caption: Relating to transferring funds, supplementing the appropriation to the Board of Pardons and Paroles for stationery, printing, binding, office supplies, miscellaneous, office expense, office equipment, postage, box rent, telephone, telegraph and contingent expense, and travel expense for the fiscal year ending August 31, 1955.
SB 447 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by making it lawful to spear rough fish in the Colorado River and its Lakes.

SCR 18 Caption: Directing the Texas Legislative Council to make a study on the feasibility of training seeing-eye dogs at the Texas State School for the Blind.

SB 16 Caption: Relating to providing that designated beneficiaries or owners shall have an insurable interest in the life of a person who makes such designation in an application for life insurance on his life.
SB 36 Caption: Relating to making appropriation for an increase in salaries of state officials and state employees; making an appropriation for an increase in outside maintenance allowances of eligible employees.
SB 89 Caption: Relating to providing uniform methods and procedures by which all cities of this state incorporated either under general or special law including cities operating under special charter and including home rule cities may fix, alter, and extend the corporate boundaries and annex additional territory adjacent to such cities for general and special purposes and discontinue territory as part of any such city.
SB 90 Caption: Relating to authorizing and regulating exercise of the powers of initiative and referendum by the citizens of incorporated towns of Texas, both home ruled cities and other incorporated towns and cities in this State, in regard to legislative subjects.
SB 119 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by providing that the Central Education Agency shall have exclusive jurisdiction and control over the Texas School for the Blind; providing that appropriations made for the benefit of such school shall be administered and expended by the Agency.
SB 123 Caption: Relating to granting State employees who executed waivers in the Employees Retirement System of Texas the privilege to deposit with the Employees Retirement System of Texas all back contributions and dues commencing with the State fiscal year September 1, 1947; providing prior service credit.
SB 154 Caption: Relating to appropriating money for the purpose of paying a portion of the cost of paving and improving those parts of certain streets in the City of Austin which are abutted by State-owned property.
SB 171 Caption: Relating to making an emergency appropriation for the Industrial Accident Board.
SB 185 Caption: Relating to amending Statutes to provide for persons, associations and corporations desiring the right of exemption of property from taxation under the laws of Texas to file a claim for exemption with the appropriate Tax Assessor during the period prescribed for rendition of property for taxes.
SB 190 Caption: Relating to amending Statutes relating to publication of proposed charter amendments by cities and towns.
SB 203 Caption: Relating to amending Statutes so as to change the population brackets whereby cities and towns may transfer to the General Fund revenues from city-owned utility systems from Two Hundred Thousand to One Hundred Thirty-two Thousand inhabitants or more.
SB 254 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code relative to violation of promise to appear by persons arrested for speeding, by extending the time for notices to appear in court and by providing that notices to appear need not be given to persons operating vehicles not registered in Texas nor to non-residents.
SB 255 Caption: Relating to amending Statutes to increase traveling expenses of State officials and employees.
SB 256 Caption: Relating to making it unlawful to shoot, fire or discharge any firearm from any boat, sail craft, float, or raft upon Lake Travis; providing a penalty; providing for enforcement.
SB 276 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts to provide that owners and operators of commercial vehicles apprehended when carrying a greater gross load than that for which said vehicles are licensed shall raise the registration of the vehicles at the nearest available County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office to an amount equal to the gross weight of the vehicles at the time of apprehension.
SB 332 Caption: Relating to providing for the issuance by the State Highway Department of special license tags to owners of passenger motor vehicles who operate mobile amateur radio equipment therein, and who have Federal Communication Commission authority.
SB 347 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Governor on behalf of the State of Texas, to execute the South Central Interstate Forest Fire Protection Compact; prescribing the text of such compact; providing an effective date for said compact.

SB 2 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation for an increase in salaries of State officials and State employees for the fiscal year beginning September 1, 1954, supplementing the salaries designated and/or provided for in Chapter 81, Acts of the 53rd Legislature, Regular Session.
SB 29 Caption: Relating to providing for coverage of State employees under the Old Age and Survivors Insurance provisions of the Federal Social Security Act.
SB 37 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts so as to supplement the appropriation for travel expense for Rate Inspectors, Motor Transportation Division of the Railroad Commission.

HB 266 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts so as to apply to counties having a population of not less than one hundred and forty-five thousand (145,000) and not more than two hundred and fifty thousand (250,000) inhabitants according to the last preceding Federal census; providing that the County Judge, Sheriff, District Attorney or Criminal District Attorney, County Attorney, District Clerk, County Clerk and Assessor and Collector of Taxes shall receive a salary of not less than Seven Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($7,400) per annum from such counties.
HB 618 Caption: Relating to empowering all incorporated cities and towns, including all home rule cities, having a population exceeding one hundred and twenty-five thousand (125,000), to build and purchase and to encumber municipal auditoriums, exhibition halls, coliseums, and other buildings or structures for public gatherings, and to encumber the incomes thereof and everything pertaining thereto, or any part thereof; repealing all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith, and providing that this law shall take precedence over all conflicting city charter provisions.
HB 647 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes providing for the qualifications of Veterans County Service Officer and Assistant Veterans County Service Officer.
HB 648 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts by providing that any retired employee as a member of any group insurance may have his premiums paid by authorizing in writing that same be deducted from his retirement allowances.
HB 692 Caption: Relating to amending the Public Welfare Act of 1941 by providing for the exemption of certain real property; providing a means of determining the value of said property.
HB 696 Caption: Relating to making it lawful to sell rough fish, including shad, carp, suckers, gar, buffalo, mullet and needle fish, taken from the fresh waters of Travis County except the waters of the Colorado River Lakes.

HB 95 Caption: Relating to providing for pre-service and in-service health education, in the sate supported institutions of higher learning of the four year level; and providing for the dissemination of this health education to the public schools of Texas; making the necessary appropriations for such purpose.
HB 197 Caption: Relating to making appopriation for an increase in salaries of State officials and State employees for the period beginning with the effective date of this Act and ending on August 31, 1949, supplementing the salaries designated and/or provided for in House Bill No. 246, Acts of the Regular Session of the Fiftieth Legislature.
HB 201 Caption: Relating to making appropriation, to supplement a previous Act, for travel expenses for the various State Departments, and limiting the travel expenses of all State employees for meals and lodgings at $7 per day.
HB 203 Caption: Relating to making appropriation for an increase in salaries of State officials and state employees for the period beginning with the effective date of this Act and ending on August 31, 1949, supplementing the salaries designated and/or provided for in Senate Bill No. 374, Acts of the Regular Session of the 50th Legislature.
HB 204 Caption: Relating to making appropriation for an increase in, and supplementing, the amounts of money set out and appropriated for the Judiciary of the State of Texas for traveling expenses, beginning with the effective date of this Act and ending on August 31, 1949, so as to limit the traveling expenses of the Judiciary for meals and lodging at Seven Dollars ($7.00) per day.
