  • United States Army, Lieutenant Colonel, World War I and World War II. "For a period of 30 years he was a member of the Armed Forces. He enlisted in 1916 with the old Dallas Infantry and served at the Mexican border. He served both in the United States and overseas and retired at the end of World War II -- a Lieutenant Colonel.
