SB 37 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing for multiple list of free textbooks in public schools.
SB 52 Caption: Relating to transfer of land from North Texas State Teachers College to State Highway Commission for relocation of U.S. Highway 77.
SB 76 Caption: Relating to enacting the Uniform Teacher Contract Law specifying persons entitled to the benefits of the Act; providing that if any provisions of this Act shall be deemed unconstitutional or void it shall not affect the other provisions of the Act.

SJR 15 Caption: Proposing to amend the Constitution of the State of Texas authorizing legislative approval to that certain Compact entered into by the State of Texas and other Southern States by and through their respective Governors on February 8, 1948, as amended, relative to the development and maintenance of regional educational services and schools in the Southern States in the professional, technological, scientific, literacy and other fields, so as to provide greater educational advantages and facilities for the citizens in the several States who reside in such region.
SJR 16 Caption: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the State of Texas so as to provide that any person who shall be convicted of the offense of murder shall be precluded from inheriting from the person so murdered and from whom he would inherit under the laws of descent and distribution of this State.

HB 132 Caption: Relating to conferring upon the Board of Regents of the Texas State College for Women of Texas the power of eminent domain to acquire land for the use of the College.
HB 420 Caption: Relating to appropriating the sum of One Million, Six Hundred and Sixty-two Thousand, Six Hundred and Seventy dollars ($1,662,670.00), or so much thereof as may be necessary, from the General Revenue Fund of the State of Texas, not otherwise appropriated, to be used for increasing the salaries of teachers in state-aid schools for the rest of the school year 1942-43, providing a schedule of increases in salaries, prescribing the duties of the State Superintendent of Public Instruction.
HB 426 Caption: Relating to making it the duty of the County Superintendent to deduct from the salary of each teacher or other employee of common school districts or other school districts under his jurisdiction the so-called Federal Victory Tax and/or other taxes levied by the Federal Government upon salaries, such deductions to be made from the per capita apportioned moneys or from other funds available for payment of such salaries and to be placed in a common fund in the county depository, and to be forwarded to the proper Federal authorities when the tax or taxes are due.
HB 746 Caption: Relating to authorizing all political subdivisions of this State to invest balances remaining in their accounts at the end of any fiscal year in Defense Bonds or other obligations of the United States of America; providing, however, that whenever such funds are needed the bonds of the United States in which said balances are invested shall be sold or redeemed and the proceeds deposited in the funds from which they were drawn.
HB 747 Caption: Relating to providing that no teacher shall be certified to teach in the public schools of Texas after the effective date of this Act until he has either taken an examination on the Constitution of the United States or Texas or has to his credit six (6) hours studying a government course covering the subject matter of Constitution of the State of Texas or the United States of America.
HB 763 Caption: Relating to providing an open season for the hunting of wild red fox and gray squirrels in Denton County; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
