SB 13 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes relative qualifications of State depositories; relating to building and loan securities and acceptable collateral.

SB 215 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts so as to provide that a registered architect who has entered service in the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard subsequent to October 1st, 1940 and who was at the time of his entry into said service or is now in good standing as a registered architect, shall have his name continued on the list of registered architects and shall be exempt from the payment of any further license fee during his service, as aforesaid, and until honorably discharged, and when honorably discharged from the service he shall be exempt from payment of such fee for the then current fiscal year.

SB 483 Caption: Relating to providing that mutual life insurance companies and associations may with the approval of the Board of Insurance Commissioners place provisions in the policies issued provided for the payment of reduced benefits or the exclusion of coverage if death or injury occurs while the insured is engaged in military, naval, aerial service or aerial flight in time of peace or war; or while engaged in certain hazardous occupations to be named in the policies; or if death or injury is caused by mob violence or legal execution.

SB 422 Caption: Relating to providing that all counties within this State having a population in excess of fifty-three thousand five hundred (53,500) inhabitants and less than fifty-seven thousand (57,000) inhabitants may upon an order made by its Commissioners' Court for this purpose provide and maintain a County Law Library.

SB 41 Caption: Relating to making certain emergency appropriations out of the General Fund of the State of Texas for the Board of Water Engineers' Department for the balance of the fiscal year ending August 31, 1937.
SB 103 Caption: Relating to providing that the court may set several capital cases on the same day; providing that only one venire shall be drawn for all capital cases set for the same day; providing each defendant shall be furnished a list of the venire for the day his case is set; providing that court may in his discretion excuse the remainder of the venire.
SB 178 Caption: Relating to providing that all State and county taxes on personal property shall be a lien upon the property upon which they are assessed.
SB 203 Caption: Relating to authorizing the increase or decrease in the list of subjects for which free textbooks are adopted.
SB 204 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation of the sum of $611,672.28, or so much thereof as may be necessary, out of any funds in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated to pay the apportionment for the period now due and to be due for the and to be due for the balance of the State fiscal year ending August 3, 1937, to all counties in which the county officers are compensated on the basis of a salary, as provided for in Section 6 of Senate Bill No. 5, enacted at the Second Called Session of the Forty-fourth Legislature.

HB 345 Caption: Relating to providing and permitting local mutual aid associations to operate in the State of Texas and write business in territory embraced within one county, or to a territory embraced within a radius of one hundred (100) miles of the city or town of the association, including counties traversed by said radius or to all the counties adjoining that in which the home office is situated or where the home office of an association is located within less than one hundred (100) miles of border line of the State to a limited number of connecting counties whose total area does not exceed that allowed under the law to any other local mutual aid association of Texas.
HB 731 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation out of the General Revenue of the State of Texas for the State Board of Water Engineer to pay the salary of two (2) assistant engineers.
HB 918 Caption: Relating to providing that the tax lien on land shall be paramount and superior to all liens, charges or rights, whether created before or after the tax lien attaches, and making the provisions applicable to school districts, and all other taxing agencies of the State.
HB 919 Caption: Relating to providing that the officers and directors of insolvent corporations shall be jointly and severally liable to all persons, firms, and corporations for any indebtedness incurred after such corporation becomes insolvent, and the value of any property, labor or services received or converted by it after insolvency.
HB 920 Caption: Relating to providing that in all suits for collection of ad valorem taxes due the State, or any subdivision thereof, that it may be maintained in the county in which such tax was assessed or in which the city, town, village, school district, or other taxing subdivision is situated.
HJR 17 Caption: Proposing to amend Section 1, Article XVI, of the Constitution of the State of Texas, by striking from the oath of members of the Legislature, and all officers, the provision against sueling with deadly weapons, sending, or accepting a challenge to fight a duel with deadly weapons, and acting as a second in carrying a challenge or aiding, advising, or assisting any person thus offending.

HB 120 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation out of the General Revenue Funds of the State of Texas for the Brazos River Conservation and Reclamation District, to aid said District to start immediate work on its program of construction.

HB 239 Caption: Relating to providing notice and competitive bids shall not be required for expenditures for the purchase of right of way for highway construction.
HB 267 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute relating to the duties of sheriffs; providing that no indemnity bond shall be required of the party procuring the issuance of the writ of sequestration; providing suitable penalties for failure to perform these duties.
HB 268 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute relating to the duties of constables; providing that indemnity bond shall not be required of the party procuring the issuance of the writ of sequestration; providing suitable penalties for failure to perform these duties.
HB 292 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute relating to apportionment of funds; providing weekly deposit by county tax collector of net collections to be apportioned to respective city street, or county road and bridge fund, where collected.

HB 424 Caption: Relating to the regulation of local mutual aid associations paying death benefits, operating an assessment insurance benefit association, and paying benefits, where the funds are provided by collection from the members.
HB 470 Caption: Relating to levying an occupation tax on peddlers, and defining the term "peddler," and providing for the enforcement thereof by the county and district attorneys, and providing proper receipts and licensing of peddlers, and for the collection of the tax, and fixing a penalty for failure to pay the tax.

HB 550 Caption: Relating to levying and providing for payment and collection of luxury taxes upon persons who purchase chewing gum, perfumes, cosmetics, cigars, tobacco, snuff, smoking and chewing tobacco (except rolled cigarettes), candy, cereal beverages, bottled drinks, which are not cereal beverages, soft drinks, which are not bottled, tickets to places of amusement, playing cards, jewelry, malt, sporting goods, and firearms, and defining the terms "jewelry", and "sporting goods".
HB 570 Caption: Relating to establishing the office of county school superintendent, and providing that the commissioners court of each county, which has three thousand scholastic population or more, as shown by the preceding scholastic census, shall, at the next general election after 1934, and likewise each four years thereafter, provide for the election of a county school superintendent, to serve for a term of four years.
HB 592 Caption: Relating to providing for supervisors in certain counties, in lieu of teachers' institutes; prescribing the duties of said supervisors; prescribing the salary of said supervisors, and how it shall be paid.
HB 621 Caption: Relating to providing that the president of the University of Texas, the president of A. & M. college, and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction shall be the State Board of Vocational Education, with necessary authority and power to cooperate with the Federal Board of Vocational Education, as provided and required by an Act of Congress of the United States of America, approved February 23, 1917; and repealing all laws and parts of laws in conflict herewith.
HB 687 Caption: Relating to providing that no life insurance company organized under the laws of any State other than the State of Texas, or organized under the laws of any foreign country, may reinsure the entire outstanding business of any solvent life insurance company organized under the laws of this State, or acquire, either directly, or indirectly, all, or substantially all, of the assets of any solvent insurance company organized uner the laws of this State; repealing all laws in conflict.
HB 697 Caption: Relating to assisting in the prevention of the theft of motor vehicles in Texas; requiring the owner of every motor vehicle to acquire certificate of title from county tax collector, and requiring each such owner to acquire from county tax collector anf affix on vehicle metal registration card container, and registration card; repealing all laws in conflict therewith.
HJR 33 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Article III, of the Constitution of the State of Texas, by striking out Section 4, and providing in lieu thereof for a term of four years for Representatives.

HB 65 Caption: Relating to providing for payment of the salary of the Ex-officio Superintendent of Public Instruction in all counties having not less than three thousand (3,000) and not more than three thousand one hundred (3,100) population, from the County Available School Fund.
HB 173 Caption: Relating to providing for the pledging of delinquent district school taxes of school districts to be used to pay the interest and sinking fund on a loan or loans from the Reconstruction Finance Corporation, or other sources, for certain purposes.
HB 204 Caption: Relating to declaring the validity of certain indebtedness arising out of the construction of State Highway No. 2 in the County of Johnson.
