49th Regular Session
HB 120 Caption: Relating to designating as a State connecting road the roads lying and being situated in Jack and Wise Counties, and running from Bridgeport, Texas, through Balzora, Willow Point, and Vineyard, Texas, to State Highway No. 199, just south of Joplin, Texas, providing for the hard surfacing of said road and for their maintenance, and appropriating funds therefor.
HB 155 Caption: Relating to appropriating and transferring, for the current fiscal year, to the Special Fund in the Treasury, known as the "Blind Assistance Fund" for the purpose of administering assistance to the blind as authorized by law, the sum of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000) from the Clearance Fund established House Bill No. 8, Regular Session, Acts of the 47th Legislature, in addition to the Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($700,000.00) authorized to be transferred from such Clearance Fund and appropriated by House Bill 499, Regular Session, Acts of the 48th Legislature, said amount to be provided on a basis of equal monthly installments.
HB 417 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes by providing for the registering of the official discharge of the members of the Armed Forces of the United States of America or Armed Force Reserve of the United States of America or any auxiliaries of said forces.
HB 465 Caption: Relating to appropriating, allocating and transferring for each fiscal year in the biennium ending August 31, 1947, to the Special Fund in the Treasury, known as the "Blind Assistance Fund" for the purpose of providing and administering assistance to the blind as authorized by law, the sum of Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars ($900,000) from the Clearance Fund, said amount to be provided on a basis of equal monthly installments; repealing all laws in conflict; providing a saving clause.
HJR 8 Caption: Proposing an amendment providing that the Legislature shall have the power to provide, under such limitations and restrictions as may be deemed by the Legislature expedient for assistance to the needy blind over the age of twenty-one (21) years, and for the payment of same not to exceed Twenty Dollars ($20.00) per month each, and providing for payment of such assistance or aid only to actual bona fide citizens of Texas and providing that the requirements for the length of time of actual residence in Texas shall never be less than five (5) years during the nine (9) years immediately preceding the application for such assistance and continuously for one year immediately preceding such application.
HJR 21 Caption: Proposing an Amendmentproviding that the Legislature shall have the power to provide, under such limitations and restrictions and regulations as may be deemed by the Legislature expedient, for assistance to physically handicapped individuals, who are under 65 years of age, and who are not eligible for Old Age Assistance or Aid to the Needy Blind, and who are not feasible for vocational rehabilitation, and who are not inmates of a State supported institution, and for the payment of such assistance in an amount not to exceed Twenty Dollars ($20) per monthly out of State funds.

HB 179 Caption: Relating to appropriating and transferring, for the current fiscal year, to the Special Fund in the Treasury, known as the "Blind Assistance Fund," for the purpose of administering assistance to the blind as authorized by law, the sum of Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000) from the Clearance Fund, in addition to the Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000) authorized to be transferred from such Clearance Fund.
HB 475 Caption: Relating to providing any person qualifying by law to operate a motor vehicle should be ineligible for aid to the blind.
HB 499 Caption: Relating to appropriating, allocating and transferring for each fiscal year in the biennium ending August 31, 1945, to the Special Fund in the Treasury, known as the "Blind Assistance Fund" for the purpose of providing and administering assistance to the blind as authorized by law, the sum of Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($700,000) from the Clearance Fund, said amount to be provided on a basis of equal monthly installments.
HJR 10 Caption: Proposing an amendment adopting a new Section to be known as Section 51-c which shall provide that the Legislature shall have the power to provide, under such limitations and restrictions as may be deemed by the Legislature expedient for assistance tot he needy blind over the age of twenty-one (21) years, and for the payment of same not to exceed Twenty Dollars ($20.00) per month each, and providing for payment of such assistance or aid only to actual bona fide citizens of Texas.
