Note(s)
Vote totals for this amendment were not included in the official tabulation of votes cast for and against constitutional amendments at the general election held November 8, 1966. When the official tabulation was made on November 25, 1966, Secretary of State John L. Hill was enjoined from tabulating, estimating or canvassing the returns of the November 8 election with respect to the amendment proposed under House Joint Resolution 13 and from declaring the result of the election on this proposition; this injunction was later overturned by the Court of Civil Appeals (414 S.W.2d 684). On November 2, 1967, the vote was certified.
